Track and Field competes in East Prairie

The Oran High School track and field teams competed in its first scored meet yesterday in East Prairie at the Eva G. Hinshaw Invitational.  The boys finished 12th out of 16 teams with 15 points.  The girls were 16 out of 17 with 3.5 points.

Tyson Goodale finished tied for first in the high jump, with a leap of 5'10" which is a school record.  Langdon Scheeter finished third with a time of 5:01.79 in the 1600M run.

On the girls' side, Savannah Below ended up fifth in the high jump with a mark of 4'4", 13th in the long jump at 12-04.00 and 14th in the 100M dash at 14.74.

 Savannah Hewitt 11th in the 100M hurdles at 22.12.

Paige Bradley was 29th in the Shot Put with a throw of 21-03.00.  Traci Hency finished 17th in the discus with a hurl of 62-09.

For the boys', Colton Williams DQ'd in the 100 as did Diesel Cato in the 800.  Goodale was a DQ in the long jump.

Logan Fouts was 30th in the shot put with a heave of 24-04.00.  Kaiden Massey was 10th in the discus at 103.04, Waylon Shaffer finished 27th in the same event with a mark of 63-03.

The squads will be back in action, next Thursday at Charleston starting at 4 pm.
