Junior high boys swept by Cubs

The Oran Junior high boys basketball teams hosted the Bell City Cubs last night.  The Eagles lost both games.  The seventh-grade fell 35-18 and the eighth lost 37-32.

Brison Winchester led the younger team with 10 points.

Camden Hahn had four and Giddeon Davis chipped in three.

They were 1-11 from the line for 9% and saw their record move to 0-3

The eighth-grade led 25-21 heading into the final six minutes but the guests outscored the hosts 16-7 to claim the five-point win.

Nate Pobst had 10 for the Eagles.

Brenden Campbell hit three treys for his nine points.  Elijah Shoemaker added eight.  Drake Dannenmueller hit a trey and Cody Albritton hit a field goal.

The eighth-grade was 0-10 from the line and are now 1-3.

Coach Joe Bickings said, "As a whole, we need to limit our mistakes and realize what the other team is trying to do and adjust to it.  We are gradually making improvements and have to continue to do that. The issue is that we keep making the same mistakes at times during the game and not adjusting."

The boys will be back in action this evening when they host Kelly at 6.
