The Oran junior varsity Eagles took a close game and turned it into a convincing victory on Thursday night against Chaffee at Advance in the consolation final of the Advance JV tournament.
It was a back and forth game with numerous lead changes during the first half with Oran holding 15-14 lead at the intermission. But during the second half the Eagles took control for a 37-26 victory.
Cole Priggel was once again Oran's leading scorer, knocking down 16. He was 8-12 from the free throw line as he was fouled numerous times taking the ball aggressively to the hoop.
Oran is now 3-3 on the season.
The varsity boys' team will be back in action Friday night at 6 pm as they host conference foe Delta. There will not be a jv game. The jv will next play Jan. 2 when Woodland visits Oran.
