The score was tied at 4 about two minutes into the game when Kelly took a time out. The break in the action seemed to benefit the Eagles more though, as they outscored the Hawks 13-2 the rest of the quarter to take a 17-6 lead heading into the second period.
Then next eight minutes iced the game, as Oran went on a 24-10 binge to take 25 point margin into the half, 41-16.

Coach Evans told the blog, "I thought we came out flat in the first quarter which was indicative of the way we practiced the last couple days. The 2nd quarter we got in some foul trouble but had girls come off the bench and help pick up the pace. The 3rd quarter we were able to bring some starters back in and keep the tempo going. We are looking forward to the challenge of playing Chaffee on Saturday."
The championship game is scheduled to start at 4 pm. Oran has never claimed first place in this tournament.
