What's happenin' (4/17-4/22)

The second half of April will kick off with a busy Monday.  Although there is no school, softball (13-0) and baseball (7-2) will be in action.

The girls will travel to Ste. Genevieve to take on the Valle Catholic Lady Warriors. Valle is 7-4 this season and they play on an all-turf field.

Exit I-55 at the 150mm, turn right, follow Hwy 32, turn right on Progress Pkwy
Also on Monday, the boys are scheduled for a conference doubleheader at Charleston.  Chaffee will be the first opponent at 4:15.  The Red Devils are 10-4.  The Eagles will take on the host BlueJays (4-11) immediately following.

Tuesday will see a baseball/softball double dip at home.  The boys will host Saxony Lutheran (9-2) while the girls will take on an 8-6 New Madrid County Central.  First pitch is scheduled for 4:30 on both fields.

The Dexter Lady Bearcats with a 6-8 mark entering the week will travel to Oran on Wednesday.  4:30 is the start time.

Track and Field will participate in the Riverbend Invitational at New Madrid County Central.  The starter's gun will fire at 4 o'clock.

Friday, right now, is an off day.  But if rain becomes an issue it may be used for a make-up game or two.

Softball and baseball will both be in action on Saturday.

The girls will play in the Scott City Softballfest.  They will take on the 10-1 Malden GreenWave at 9:30 am and then the 5-1 Bismarck Lady Indians at 11 am in pool play before advancing on to bracket play.

Baseball will play at Jackson, against Jackson in what was previously known as The Notre Dame Showcase but has been renamed The SEMO Baseball Showcase. The class 5 Indians are 14-5.  First pitch is noon.  Admission has been charged in the past, however, there is no mention of the cost in the information that I received.
