Jayvee plays in O.I.T.

The Oran High School junior varsity boys basketball team opened it's season last night.  They were called to duty when Bell City decided to be a no-show and no other varsity team could be found as replacement.

The JV Eagles took on the Chaffee Red Devils.

The Eagles kept the game competitive through the first half, trailing only by 8 at the half, 32-24.  It was all Chaffee, however during the final 16 minutes.  As they outscored Oran 30-10 to claim a 62-34 victory.

Cooper Priggel hit three three's and scored 11, while Langdon Scheeter connected on one trey and also had 11 to lead the Eagles in scoring.

Ty Johnson hit two treys for his six points.  Kaiden Massey, Tristen Schlosser and Cameron Westrich each score two to round the scoring.  Westrich hit both of his free throw attempt to account for his points.

Oran hit 2 of 3 from the line for 67%.

The will be back in action next Tuesday as Oran hosts Risco at 6 pm.
