Rams defeat Eagles

On Tuesday evening the Oran High School volleyball teams traveled to Scott City to take on conference rival Scott City. The Rams took both matches in straight sets.  Oran lost 21-25 and 13-25 during the junior varsity match and the varsity, 23-25 and 18-25.

On the junior varsity Asst. Coach Hutchcraft said, "Overall, we made silly errors that begin with our lack of talking which seems to be a reoccurring challenge of ours. We attempted to fight back the first set, but gave the game away that second set. We hope to keep improving and working harder and harder each game. Scott City was a good team who challenges our quickness and showed us we also need to pick up our pace."

On the varsity side, Kaylee Payne had four aces, two kills and eight digs.  Cassie Cochran also had eight digs and Katlyn Streeter added five.  Savannah Below came up with two block.

The jv fell to 0-3 in league play and 1-5 overall.  They will participate in the Scott City junior varsity tournament on Saturday.

The varsity now stands at 1-3 and 4-9.  They return to action next Monday when they travel to Zalma to take on the Bulldogs
