Track and Field at Chaffee Invitational

On Thursday, the Oran High School track and field teams competed in the Chaffee Invitational.  The boys finished 11th out of 14 squads with 15 points while the girls were 17th out of 17 with 1.5 points.

Getting points for the boys were Tyson Goodale, who claimed the gold in the high jump with a school record-tying leap of 6-00.00 and Langdon Scheeter finished fourth in the 1600M with a time of 5:08.50.

Goodale was also apart of the 4X100 M team that finished 9th at 53.60.  Other members included Kaiden Massey, Waylon Shaffer and Samuel Shoemaker.  Goodale and Massey tied for 11th in the long jump at 16-01.00. Massey was 13th in the discus (93-04). He was 12th in the 100M (12.30) and Shoemaker was 18th in the same event at 12.60.  Logan Fouts finished 17th in the 400M at 1:06.50.  Diesel Cato placed 15th in the 800M (2:31.50) and he competed in the high jump but did not place.

On the girls side, Savannah Below finished tied for 7th in the high jump at 4-04.  She was also ninth in the long jump (12-10) and 14th in the 100M at 14.70.  Traci Hency finished 13th in the discus with a throw of 71-00 and 13th in the shot with a toss of  23-06.00.  Paige Bradley was 18th in the discus (60-01) and 19th in the shot (20-09.50).

The teams will be back in action on Thursday when they head to New Madrid to compete in the Riverbend Invitational.
