The Oran junior high volleyball teams lost both matches tonight in Charleston.
Eighth Grade Action: The older Lady Eagles were so close but came up on the short end tonight against the Blue Jays of Charleston. Oran won the first set convincingly 25-13 but then lost the second in a heart breaker 24-26. They fell in the abbreviated third set 7-15.
Cassie Cochran had a monster night with 10 aces, 10 service points and seven assists. Jessica Long had five aces, five service points and four kills. Claire Ramsey also had five aces and five service points.
The team as whole had 24 aces on the evening but that wasn't enough as the eighth grade fell to 2-3 on the season.
Seventh Grade Action: The younger Eagles lost in straight sets 10-25 and 12-25.
Savannah Elfrink and Jada Tyler had two aces and four service points each. Samantha Welter had an ace and two service points.
The seventh grade is now 1-4.
Upcoming Action: Oran's junior high girls' volleyball team will be back in action on Thursday when they travel to Richland High School to take on the Rebels in a 6 pm match.
