Baseball Eagles start first fall season Tuesday

The Oran High School baseball team will participate during the fall season for the first time.  The fall season is used by schools much like spring training is used by major league baseball.  It will be a chance for the younger players to learn the high school system and to get innings in before the spring season rolls around.

Also, it give male athletes to compete in the fall at schools that do not have football.

The Eagles will have several holes to fill after graduation 4 senior starters including 2 pitchers that accounted for 70% of the innings pitched, the three-year starting center fielder and the starting shortstop.
Eagles do field work before 1st fall game.

This year's roster has 4 seniors, 3 juniors, 6 sophomores and 4 freshmen on the 17 member squad coached by Joe Bickings and assisted by Larry Boshell.

Senath-Hornersville will be the opponent in the season opener on Tuesday.  First pitch is slated for 5pm and the game can be heard on 104.1 FM.
