Eagle sophomore to be Drew Reischman helped lead his Scott County Rage Post 369 Freshman Legion team to a state championship over the summer. Reischman, who played shortstop predominately, batted .341 with 49 RBI. He had 14 doubles and 4 triples. He walked 14 times while striking out only five.
Reischman also made seven appearances on the mound, logging 14 1/3 innings. He had a 1-0 record with a 1.46 ERA.
He had a .939 fielding percentage in 114 chances.
The Rage finished their season at 34-7 and defeated Bonne Terre 7-3 to claim the championship played at Glendale High School in Springfield.
