The Oran Lady Eagles softball team will have to replace it's number one pitcher this upcoming spring when they take to the field after the graduation of Anna Jones. Tatum May used her summer to prepare for assuming that role.
May played for the Kelso Xpress 16U traveling team that advanced to the Fastpitch America Softball Association world series held in Branson, Mo.
She pitched a total 109 innings and compiled a record of 18-2 and picked up 2 saves. May struck out 85 while walking 58. On the season, she finished with a 1.99 ERA and a WHIP (walks + hits per innings pitched) of 1.33.
At the plate, the senior to be had a .352 batting average and an on base percentage of .414. She had 8 doubles and 4 triples.
The Xpress finished 49-14-5.
