The 2016 girls Scott-Mississippi conference tournament tips off on Monday at Chaffee. The jv is the three seed with a 3-1 record. They will take on the six seeded East Prairie Eagles at 7:45pm.
On Tuesday evening, at the Scott-Miss, the first seeded varsity with a 9-1 record will take on the eighth seeded Scott City Rams at 5:45. These two teams met in the first round of the Lady Red Devil Invitational just over a month ago and Oran routed the Rams, 83-14. Scott City is currently 1-7. For the boys that night, they will host conference rival Kelly at 6 pm. Oran comes in with a 1-2 conference mark and 7-6 overall at the varsity level. The jv is 0-2 and 2-6 respectively. Kelly's page at MSHSAA.org has not been updated.
Wednesday night has nothing set in stone as of yet, but should the girls win in their first games they will play. The jv would play at 5:15 against the Kelly vs Charleston winner and the varsity would play at 6:30 also against the winner of Kelly and Charleston.
Thursday night is finals night for the girls. Games times are at 4 pm for the jv consolation, varsity third place at 5:15. Jv championship is 6:30 and varsity first place game is scheduled for 7:45. The boys will have a rare Thursday evening game as they travel to Woodland to take on Cardinals at 6 pm. Woodland defeated the Eagles in the opening round of the seMissourian Christmas Tournament by a score of 80-72. Woodland, like Kelly, has not updated it's scores.
The boys will close the week on Friday as they will host the Indians of St. Vincent. The team from Perryville enters the week with a 6-7 record. Last year, Oran picked up the road win 60-29.
