Head Coach Joe Shoemaker told the blog, "I thought we took care of business and advanced on to the next round. I give Delta credit for not giving up and playing the entire game. We know that we have to execute a little better to keep winning at this time of the year and look forward to the challenge of playing Bell City again."
The second seeded Eagles are now 14-13 and will face the third seeded Bell City Cubs on Tuesday at 7:30 pm.
