What's happenin' (5/16 - 5/20)
This week will see the conclusion of the Class 1, District 2 baseball tournament.
The second seeded Eagles will face the number six seed Leopold Wildcats on Monday evening at 6:30 pm, weather permitting. Leopold comes in with a record of 5-14, Oran is 13-8. The regular season meeting between the two teams was rained out. During the fall season Oran won twice 18-3 and 13-0, both were 5 inning mercy-rule games. The second was a no hit pitching performance by Preston Hahn.
Should the Eagles prevail, the championship game is scheduled for Tuesday at 4:30 pm. Oran would take on the winner of 1st seeded Bell City and 4th seed Advance. The Eagles beat the Cubs last week 5-3. They defeated the Hornets on April 8th, 14-11.
The tournament is hosted by Advance.
