The Oran High School chapter of the Fellowship of Christian Athletes had their first service activity last week when they provided sweet treats to the volleyball team.

On Thursday afternoon, the FCA served up doughnuts and Kool Aid before the netters served up a two set victory over Richland.

The officers for the 2016-17 school year are:

Duncan told the blog, "FCA dues aren't due until Nov 2, but I've had almost 30 sign up saying they were going to join. Our mission this year is to continue to serve each of the sports teams during their season by providing them with some type of food and drink."

"Also, we meet every Wednesday during lunch to spend time together. During that time, we may have some devotionals read by the older students or watch a video such as the "I am Second" series."

"This year we are going to try to attend FCA's Fields of Faith in Sikeston on October 12. All of the local FCA organizations from surrounding schools will be in attendance. There's music, singing, and personal stories given by students and SEMO athletes. We've also discussed attending a Christian artist's concert together or an inspirational movie outside of school. I'm excited for so many members and to get to share the most important thing to me with my students!"
