Volleyball swept in close matches

The Oran Junior High School volleyball teams remained winless after getting swept last night by visiting Sikeston in four close games.  The seventh grade fell, 21-25 and 25-27.  The eighth grade was on the short end of a 22-25 and 23-25 stick.

Coach Amy Wibbenmeyer said, "We did so good last night! We ran a 5-1 instead of a 6-2, for the most part, we played overall well! We were talking more and moving more. I was so proud of them and how they worked together as a team we just have to push through the last 5 points."

Laney Shy dished out 10 assists. Carly Gloth had four aces.  Addie Nichols had an ace and four digs.  Liza Dannennmueller had an ace and a dig.  Lily Knott had a pair of aces and Bralynn Morgan had a kill and two digs.

The squads are both now 0-4.

The seventh grade will travel to Jackson next Tuesday.  Game time is 4:30.

A tournament has been added to the schedule on Thursday the 28th at Jackson.  No details have been released as of yet.
