What's happenin' (3/25-3/30)

It's another week chock full of athletic events for Oran High School and Junior High School athletes.

It all kicks off on Monday with the junior high girls traveling to Zalma, first serve is at 6 pm.

On Tuesday the boys baseball team (2-1)  will travel to Leopold to take on the Wildcats (1-2) in what could be a key district match up.  Game time is 4:15.  Also that day, softball (1-2) will host district opponent  Delta, who enters the week at 1-2, at 4:30.  Also on Tuesday, will be the Jr. Beta Club's first grill day.  They will be grilling burgers and dogs to help raise funds to cover expenses for this summer's National Convention in Oklahoma City.

Wednesday has both fields occupied at home as softball and baseball both host Oak Ridge.  First pitch for both games is scheduled for 4:30.  The Lady Blue Jays come in at 0-2 with a game on Tuesday as well.  Their boys are currently 2-2.  The baseball game is a district contest.

Thursday is a big day for track and field as they travel to East Prairie to participate in the Eva Hinshaw Invitational. The action starts at 4 pm.  Also on the junior high volleyball (I'm assuming the 8th-grade team) will be a part of the inaugural junior high tournament.

This is the info that I have on it:

After a day of off on Friday, Saturday will feature some "brunch" ball.  Softball hosts Bernie, a district opponent that is currently 3-0 at 11 am.  They will then face a Ste. Genevieve team that is currently 5-2. That game should start around 2:30 or so.  Bernie and Ste. Gen will play the second contest of the day.  This will be a Jr. Beta "grill day".  Baseball also starts at 11 and they will take on Class 5 Jackson at Jackson as part of the 8th Annual Notre Dame Bulldog Baseball Showcase.  Then, the Eagles will pack up and travel to Cape Central to take on the Class 5 Tigers.  The second game is scheduled for 1:30.  Jackson is currently 7-3 and Cape Central is 2-1.

Here are the details I have on the ND Showcase:
